Sleepy Georgia

I found these pictures this morning and just had to laugh. When Georgia came home from the hospital she refused to sleep alone. As long as we were in the same room as her she was fine and would sleep like a little angel. After we left the room she would wake up within the next ten minutes screaming. She however had no problem stealing Maddy's bed to catch up on some sleep when we would go visit in the hospital. I may need to use these pictures some time down the road to remind Georgia the importance of sharing.





Light or dark, quiet or loud, Georgia's sleep issues completely resolved when Madelyn came home...

Pictures With Uncle Kris

Most of you probably know that my brother Kris is in the Air Force and was recently deployed to Iraq. Well, I am happy to report that he returned home in October, in one piece and in even better shape than when he left. We missed him and it was great to see him meet his nieces for the first time. The girls weren't entirely cooperative for pictures as they both had blood work done earlier in the day as well as a whole batch of immunizations but we managed to get a few decent pictures.

Ok this one makes me laugh... he looks pretty freaked out. Honestly, Maddy doesn't bite.

New Pictures

wow... it has been a long time since I have updated. Things are going great, busy - but great. The girls are growing right along. Georgia was exactly 8lbs last week and Madelyn was exactly 7! They are starting to get the cutest little baby rolls and it is so nice to be rid of that wrinkly preemie skin. They both had appointments with the developmental clinic last week and the pediatrician said they are both at or beyond where she would like to see them. They are both tracking really well (following with their eyes) and lifting their heads. Georgia learned a new trick last week... smiling! We're still working on getting a good picture of it. Maddy is getting close too, but it's hard to see a smile when she doesn't want her pacifier out of her mouth for more than 30 seconds. Maddy's jaundice is going away but the doctors have said it will be a while before it's completely gone from her skin and eyes.

Both girls eye look great and the ROP is nearly gone. We have lots of routine doctors appointments all winter but no big appointments. Sorry to anyone we haven't seen lately but we're trying to live like hermits this flu season so the girls don't get sick. Their little immune systems still aren't fully developed and with their immaature lungs still trying to grow, a cold or flu could easily land them back in the hospital. So while we do love and miss everyone we may just be sending Christmas cards with lots of pictures this year and may be missing out on some get togethers.

Look how tall we're getting! Maddy is 18.5 inches and Georgia is 19.75 inches.




A couple of weekends ago Craig and I had a date night! Megan and Miranda came over and not only loved on the girls but also dressed them up and took these adorable photos. Thanks guys!
