This kid...

While looking through photos over the last year, a trend was emerging...

It started out more subtle.

It then grew and was shown more openly...

Basically, I think the photos say it pretty well BUT... this kid is nuts.

When a mother is pregnant she is filled with thoughts like: "WHO will this child be? What will they act like? What is their place in this world?"

I will tell you I never saw this coming:

OH Sofia! You are nutty and crazy and so full of joy and love and life. I simply cannot get over how much love her existence fills me with and I felt that needed to be documented and preserved.

Snowshoe Adventure

Last Thursday under the bright and welcoming Spring sky we headed out on an adventure on the campus of Maddy & Georgia's school. We strapped on snowshoes...

or hitched a ride:
We made our way into the woods and met "mama maple" while enjoying a legend of the beginning of the collection of sap to make syrup.

We roasted hot dogs...

No ketchup here but they were surprisingly delicious topped with last year's maple syrup and deliciously followed by s'mores and hot chocolate.
As we made the trek back to head home I felt filled with gratefulness that my girls have the privilege to enjoy this school. A place that values the world we live in. A place that strives to learn about and care for the environment and will help me pass those values on to my children. A learning home with friends and teachers that care about them and wide open spaces (even if they are sadly still snow covered.) I can only hope that the years to come bring with them as many opportunities for growth and adventure as this past year.
