Great Wolf Lodge
To celebrate Sofia's birthday we took a little vacation up to Traverse City and stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. We had heard soem great things about this waterpark/hotel and I was ready to label it as overhyped. BUT we had a fantastic time! So I will now join in on the hype. Which must be why we spent way too much $ on adorable wolf stuffed animals. Ugh... I am so weak.

Outside it looked like this...

but inside we were dressed like this...
So we could go here:
Sofia loved this smaller water slide and Maddy & Georgia felt like big kids going down the larger slides with Craig.
When we weren't swimming we kept busy with balloon animals,

bowling

and ice cream.

In the evening they held storytime which was perfect for little ones and always accompanied by a new character to meet and greet.

We had Dunkin Donuts for breakfast on Sofia's birthday.

Incognito birthday girl during some craft time.

We ventured out (in the midst of a mild blizzard and -30 degree weather, I wish was exaggerating) for Sofia's birthday dinner at Olive Garden. We enjoyed a special cake in our hotel room with the birthday girl.
and some snuggles and a movie.
I love my kids and I love going on adventures with them but to me this was a very special one. For the simple reason that for the first time the experience was more fun than work for me. You may not believe this but traveling with 3 little ones can be a slightly daunting task. Especially when you factor in swimming, a birthday, hotel rooms and snow storms. BUT this trip was fantastic and enjoyable... even with those things thrown in.

So. Much. Fun.
