When we arrived it was a little chilly and then chilly gave way to pouring rain so we missed out on our s'mores bonfire BUT we made the best of it with some pizza.
Then we headed to "Sally's Sweet Spot" for crafts and candy.
The girls made bracelets for everyone... including Charlie.
Even Sofia enjoyed craft time.
More importantly there were candy necklaces!
The girls had their own loft in the cabin. The stairs gave me a few mini heart attacks but in the end it was fantastic.
Our cabin also featured an impressive Jacuzzi tub. This maybe wasn't what they had in mind when they designed this room BUT the girls were very impressed. Jets = bubbles. LOTS of bubbles and LOTS of giggling.
Saturday morning we headed out to enjoy the beautiful weather. Horseback riding, petting farm and a visit to the resting sled dogs was on the agenda.
This is what Sofia did to entertain herself while she waited. From now on if we won't push her somewhere she's just going to drive herself. That girl has initiative.
When it was finally her turn Sofia had a blast. When her ride was over and Craig tried to help her off the horse she told him no and signed "more" while death gripping the saddle.
I swear that helmet was as big as her.
The girls fed all kinds of slobbery, but adorable animals. This guy was my favorite.
The ranch provided a shuttle from our cabin to the water park and restaurants. The shuttle was technically a very old small bus driven by a guy who I think went by the name "crazy Carl" and scared me silly... and the girls of course loved it! I repeatedly told them the bus was sleeping.
Some of my favorite moments were just watching the girls enjoy themselves. We stocked up on snacks and junk food before we left and spent our evenings snuggling, snacking and watching movies. It was so nice to enjoy my girls and Craig without any laundry, dishes, etc. nagging me for attention.
Most of our time was spent at the water park. I planned on getting some shots of the girls there before we left BUT the camera was repeatedly forgotten. So just imagine how cute the girls looked frolicking about in the water. They have a fantastic toddler play area that Sofia and I spent a lot of time in.
We had a great and exhausting weekend full of early mornings, sugar, animals and water. I now need to schedule a vacation to relax after our vacation.
