Making Messes (aka learning)

I don't know how many times I have said this but I LOVE our sensory table/sand table. Whatever you want to call it, it's a good time. It can be messy but it is well worth the mess. The girls are always begging to "play table" and it teaches them so many things from fine motor, to make believe to cause and effect.

A couple of weeks ago we tried out some shaving cream in the table while Sofia napped.

So here we are. Girl, shaving cream and table.

Madelyn was not entirely sure what to think about this. Her first reaction was to shake it off and wash her hands.

I convinced her is was fun and we squished and played.

Well, I knew that wasn't going to last long and I was losing their interest so I hunted down some "friends" lions, giraffes,  elephants, etc. to play in the shaving cream.

Once they were messy there was only one thing to do... clean them up. The animals that is, not the girls. The girls took a completely different path.

All cleaned up and snuggling with Charlie!
