Five Years Ago...

So... I contemplated over the past few days whether or not I should write a cheesy/sappy romantic blog post to tell Craig happy anniversary and how much I love him. That's what you do on your anniversary right? Remind the world/your spouse how much you love them. Good plan. Except, he already knows I'm crazy about him and so should all of you.

Instead... I want to tell him thank you. In a book I recently read there was a quote about males of the world being divvied into two groups. Men and Guys

Men: The saints of the world. The faithful husbands, loving fathers. The ones who listen, understand and love.

Guys: the other guys.

Craig, thank you for being the MAN I married. Over the past five years we have seen some beautiful moments together, faced some scary situations together and even (gasp) had some fights.

So, thank you for making me smile:

For holding my hand and drying my tears in these moments:

 and sharing these moments...

and soooo many of these.....

and for making this moment possible...

The stars aligned in the way they seem to and all of our babysitters were busy this weekend. So... we headed out with the girls to dinner and ended up downtown Grand Rapids to do some exploring before it rained and rounding out the night snuggled up watching the movie we watched on our first date.

Here are the beautiful little women vying my husband's attention...

That's ok though because I had my own little lady to snuggle with...

How's Sofia?

Oh man, we have been busy around here. One of us in particular has been very busy. In the past week or so Sofia began crawling! Nothing is safe anymore. Her favorite toy is Charlie (our dog) she loves to pull on his lips and climb on him and if she had the chance she would love it if I would let her chew on his feet. Eewww.

The girls gather their toys in their beds or on the couch, afraid of the big bad baby. I am constantly following everyone around picking up hazmat (blueberries, raisins, grapes... that escape the table loom as choking hazards) and sadly the gate to the stairs had to go back up :(

I was trying to get a good video of her crawling this morning but of course Maddy and Georgia kind of hijacked her video op to sing the ABC's.

Well, Sofia has also decided in the past few days that crawling is just not a good enough way to get around and she would like to work towards walking so she has been teaching herself to stand. This is what I usually find when I go to get her up from her nap.

Who wouldn't want to rescue that little face? Even if she did only give in to a 20 minute nap...

This is how we play with toys now... standing or climbing over, and often tipping over on top of the toy.

I don't know who gave her permission to grow up so quickly but I can tell you one thing, it was not me.
