The beach has been a regular hot spot of ours this summer. It's a lot of work but totally worth it. On more than one occasion I have actually been able to enjoy some adult conversation with other moms as my kids play happily in the sand and shallow water.
More than once Craig has come home to realize we spent the day in our swimsuits while he was at work... sometimes this stay at home mom gig has it's perks. Remind me of these shiny days when everyone is sick with the flu or suffering from cabin fever.
This weekend we took Craig along to Millenium park. Millenium has pretty much everything you would want in the summer with small children. Beach, splashpad, bathrooms, paddle boats, a park and even ice cream if you're a sucker for concession stands.
They are women on a mission...
We hit the splashpad first this time and then headed to the beach.
and my kids kinda destroyed it... good thing it's creators were gone already.
